The Sunset is a woven carpet consisting of two types of threads: the warp and the weft. The base of the carpet, the warp, consists of threads that are stretched vertically in a loom, from top to bottom. You can think of the warp as the skeleton of the carpet. The warp threads remain fixed and taut, so that they can support the weaving process and provide firmness to the carpet. The weft is the thread that is woven horizontally back and forth through the loom, between the warp threads. The weft threads are pushed over and under the warp threads to form the pattern of the carpet. By pulling and repeating the weft, the dense texture of the carpet is created. When weaving carpet, this interaction between warp and weft ensures that the fabric becomes both strong and resilient. The Sunset is available in two beautiful patterns, herringbone (curved) and knob structure (twine), which are reinforced by using threads in a different color than the yarn of the carpet. With its black woven pattern as a base, its unique mix of materials and subtle color accents, the Sunset is a versatile carpet with character. Suitable for both the living room and bedroom and it can even be laid on stairs.
